Spend the day lazing in the sun, splashing in the waves or enjoying a bite to eat at nearby cafe. Kirra, Coolangatta and Fingal are just some of the world-famous beaches within 20 minutes drive of Scenic Ridge, offering pristine shores, crystal clear surf and unparalleled surfing spectating!

If nature walks are more your thing – Greenmount, Tweed River and Terranora Broadwater both offer beautiful boardwalks which overlook the surrounding water, mangroves and bushland.

If you daydream about immersing yourself in a lush green rainforest, then John Hogan Rainforest is for you – a perfect spot for a hike or picnic, the short 20 minute drive through the mesmerizing palm forest is worth the trip alone.

ILNAM Estate Winery
This family run winery is located just 15 minutes drive west of Scenic ridge and is open Friday to Sunday for wine tastings, take-home sales and delicious meals. Kick back on their veranda and take in the stunning views over the Carool Valley towards the Ocean.

Potager
Think in-house smoked salmon, BBQ lamb and rhubarb parfait, these are just some of the delicious farm-grown meals you’ll find on the ever- changing menu at Potager. An old farmhouse transformed into a unique intimate restaurant and event space, Potager is located on a 10 acre farm just 10 minutes from Scenic Ridge.

Their ethos is to support local business by sourcing local suppliers for not only their meats, vegetables and beer, but to also build their dining tables and hand make their serving dishes and plates.

Community venues

  • Bilambil Jets and Junior Jets NRL:
    This community orientated NRL football club, famed for developing the captain of the Gold Coast Titans – Ryan James, welcomes local spectators to come down and watch their home games as they battle against rival teams.
  • Terranora Tennis Club:
    Whether you are an experienced tennis player wanting to join a competition, a developing player requiring coaching or looking to hire a tennis court for some family fun, Tennis Terranora offers it all.

Currumbin Rock pools:
A local favourite on a hot summer day and perfect for all ages, the Currumbin Rock Pools and its park area is the perfect place to spend the day out with family. Cool down in tranquil natural waters in several different rock pools, go exploring through the surrounding pebbled streams or laze in the sun whilst making the most of nearby BBQ facilities. Currumbin Rock pools are nestled in lush rainforest in Currumbin Valley, 45 minutes drive from Bilambil.

Byron Bay
Spend the day in Byron Bay, a popular destination for those who love beaches, boutique shopping and who enjoy a friendly, casual atmosphere. One of the best hotspots is The Farm at Byron – an 80 acre farm turned tourist attraction which encompasses the Three Blue Ducks restaurant, horse back rides, sunflower picking, macadamia nut cracking, lots of farm animals and fresh produce as well as many more fun things to see and do with the family.

Hike up to the Byron Bay Lighthouse and take in the magical views from the most easterly point of Australia – you might even see some dolphins or whales! On your way back down take a detour and head towards Wategos Beach – a hidden gem and local favourite for surfing and relaxing.

You can’t leave Byron without a visit to its main shopping, dining and entertainment precinct -located off Shirley Street. Filled with boutique shops, delicious food and quirky cafes as well as the occasional busker – it’s safe to say Byron Bay is filled with the makings a great day out and is only a 50 minute drive. From beaches to bushwalks, Scenic Ridge boasts a superb blend of urban convenience and natural tranquillity all with easy access to the Gold Coast Airport and main highways.
